Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem PCICU Pediatric/Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers Per Diem 81118BR Job Summary The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit provides highly specialized, round-the-clock care for newborns, babies and children who are critically ill with a heart condition. As one of the few pediatric intensive care units in the nation dedicated to heart conditions, we offer a level of care not available at many other children's hospitals. This focus and expertise leads to better outcomes for our young patients. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $128.67 - $128.67 (Hourly Rate). Surgical procedures include repair of congenital heart defects and permanent pacemaker insertion. Medical interventions include management of acute/chronic heart failure, septic shock, renal and respiratory failure. Critically ill children are cared for with such treatment modalities as mechanical ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, ventricular assist devices, temporary pacemaker therapy, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy and acute hemodialysis.
