Supply Data Analyst - Hybrid Work Environment

The Supply Data Analyst is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and visibility, and improving optimization insight through daily, weekly, and monthly analysis. This position aggregates and normalizes data components from various sources and is responsible for daily data management and process with Supply's contract compliance.

Responsibilities

Data Management and Reporting

  • Compile daily compliance reports for Wholesale and On Demand business units showing contract compliance levels at markets across the US
  • Compile daily compliance reports for Supply Directors and business management showing Mansfield overall contract compliance levels at markets across the US
  • Continuously analyze supply data components impacting P&Ls; understand the implications of daily supply purchases to make fuel sourcing recommendations to organization that will maximize margins
  • Work with sales team and Supply Directors to track and monitor material changes in committed demand monthly
  • During periods of supply disruptions work with sales to ensure priority level customer demand is met within constraints imposed by supplier allocations.
  • Analyze and report on potential under lift penalties for contract non-compliance and work with sales/operations teams to minimize monthly impact of these charges
  • Work with accounting to accrue and track monthly under lift penalties thru journal entry sequence and ensure charges are accrued to correct account / sales units
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with Supply Directors and sales teams to collaborate on regional buying strategies and reporting metrics
  • Maintain database of contract volume targets for use in all daily reporting and compliance measurement
  • Report daily netback for contract, rack, and inventory vs. replacement cost daily
  • Through research and request, pursue opportunities for improved efficiency; from data aggregation and/or data synthesis via statistical analysis to complex application development
  • Collaboration with internal Business Technology and Business Analytics teams to guarantee daily files are processed properly and troubleshoot system and database issues

Management Reporting

  • Evolving development and enhancement of management dashboard for Supply monthly KPIs
  • Provide benchmarking analysis on formal and informal datasets, managing and creating cross references
  • Proactively seeks out operational/systems issues and opportunities for improvement, and pursues solutions through researching from multiple perspectives, data implement analysis tools and reporting analysis, personnel interviews, and process analysis
  • Provide consultation and expert advice to management on issue resolution and feasible solution to business operation challenges
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, computer science, or related field preferred OR a minimum of 3 years related experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Prior industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in an analytical role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI preferred
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and/or Visual Basic is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in requirements gathering and documentation

  • Demonstrates an eagerness and willingness to enhance and develop analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including executive staff
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and writing skills for executive communications, proposals and project reporting

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Work Schedule permitted once training is completed (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
