Job Summary:



We are currently seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our Maintenance team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility by performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. A Maintenance Technician works with a team to troubleshoot issues, conduct preventative maintenance, and repair and install new equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.


Responsibilities:



General Maintenance:




  • Conduct weekly and monthly equipment inspections



  • Perform general cleaning of all areas of the building



  • Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas and parking lot



  • Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders



  • Remove trash, cardboard, and other recycling daily



  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests



  • Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped



  • Perform manual repairs when necessary



  • Aid maintenance technicians in electrical, lighting, mechanical, plumbing, and machinery repairs



  • Install and troubleshoot primary facility electrical up to 440V lighting, mechanical, and plumbing



  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets






Equipment Maintenance:




  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing machinery and equipment



  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues



  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures





Equipment Installation:




  • Assist in installing new machinery and production lines



  • Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure proper setup






Team Collaboration:




  • Collaborate with all team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets



  • Provide support during scheduled shutdowns and maintenance projects






Documentation:




  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs



  • Log equipment downtime and report any recurring issues to the Maintenance Lead and Manager






Inventory Management:




  • Monitor and report on the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies



  • Request replenishment as needed to maintain adequate stock levels






Training and Development:




  • Participate in training programs to improve maintenance skills and product knowledge



  • Complete environmental training program and obtain certification



  • Attend monthly EHS trainings



  • Obtain and maintain IR certification/license for harness and equipment (forklift, scissors, and boom lift)



  • Adhere to the Total Preventative Maintenance Program



  • Attend Mazak maintenance certification program



  • Follow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks)






Quality Control:




  • Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirements



  • Identify and report defects or issues in the assembly process and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality






Safety Compliance:




  • Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)



  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly



  • Training and certification in Confined Space and on Lockout Tagout



  • Participate in Waste Management Program



  • Complete all safety trainings required before use of any equipment



  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems in consistence with health and safety regulations



  • Lift a maximum of 35 lbs for an individual and 70 lbs for a team lift



  • Test PSI limit no greater than 30,000






Cleanliness and Organization:




  • Maintain a clean and organized work area



  • Follow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)






Qualifications:






  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED), required






  • 6-10 years' experience in Maintenance at Milton Roy




  • Minimum of 101 points in the skills matrix with proven proficiency in job knowledge and training




  • Electrical and mechanical skills, preferred




  • Ability to operate a fork truck and scissor lift




  • Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses




  • Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability




  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment







  • General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook, Word ,


    and Excel)






  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs







Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:






  • Fully site based
