Area Coordinator

Responsible for the coordination of inventory
from in process to "On-time delivery" to meet our customer's requirements. To
maintain accuracy and integrity of data and ensure the proper storage of
materials per internal and external requirements.

Job Summary

  • Perform record keeping activities, auditing, and data entry activities.
  • Coordinate information among related departments, monitor inventory and report problems, and meet company and department objectives.
  • Materials include raw sheet material stock, extrusions, components, finished goods, and coupons.
    Supports Manufacturing and to work side by side with manufacturing daily in order to verify the correct jobs are being worked.
  • Review the Daily Dispatch List (DDL) for errors and accuracy against the jobs in work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Responsible for ensuring all material; blueprints (B/P), tools, NC tapes, etc. are available to manufacturing at the start each new job.
  • Shall monitor all Material Review Request (MRR) activity within his area.
  • Production Activity Control (PAC) shall be coordinated with daily on all activity within the area of responsibility to ensure accuracy of the Daily Dispatch List (DDL).
  • Shall coordinate with the previous and/or next Area lead in order to ensure movement of the Work Orders (WO) as the jobs are completed.
  • This also includes any transportation required to move the product to the next area.
  • All Inspection activity shall be prioritized, and ROC (Report Operations Complete) activity verified.
  • Shall gather all Work Orders as required for any planning changes needed and shall ensure a Part/Planning Location Sheet is left with the product per policy.
  • Performs visual verification of material items, monitors inventory levels and reports problems and shortages, anticipates and reports shortages.
  • Utilizes integrated ERPT system to perform daily transactions for issue, receipt, inquiry, reports, report operations complete and other functions as trained and instructed.
  • Performs cycle counting activities per procedures.
  • Coordinates with production control, scheduling, and manufacturing to support schedule and follows priorities and meet schedule.
  • Coordinates with quality for material certification documents when issuing materials.
  • Coordinates with engineering for alternate materials or usage concerns
    Maintains inventory accuracy.

Required Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus other related college level training in inventory management
  • Prior experience in parts expediting and coordination in an aerospace environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with aerospace materials, storage, control, traceability procedures, specifications.
  • Forklift certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.

Base Compensation: USD 20.00 - 26.00 Paid
