Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This position will be located at NASA's Langley Research Center.

Responsibilities

    Planning and scheduling of all proactive and reactive maintenance for high and low voltage electrical teams.
  • Procure materials needed for craft task execution in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Maintenance Period Coordinator and Utility Outage Coordinator to ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Support the Work Control Center as needed.
  • Track all proactive and reactive maintenance work orders by priority.


Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required. Minimum of two (2) years college or vocational training and six (6) to eight (8) years of related experience in planning and scheduling and/or maintenance field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and written with effective use of visual aids. Should be able to use computing technology for problem analysis and solution.

Essential Functions

Work Environment:
Office environment. (75%) Test facilities and active work site environment - loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operation. (25%) Travel between office and various facilities is required (<5%).

Physical Requirements:
Limited time spent on active work sites. Must be physically capable of walking and climbing over rough terrain and working at elevated heights and confined spaces. Work sites are commonly areas of high noise levels due to facility operations. (25%) Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.) including the following typical PC Software-Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project (65%).
Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (35%). Knowledge of IBM Maximo is beneficial.

Attendance:
Regular attendance mandatory (100%)
Overtime/work outside normal schedule required (5% - 20%)

Other Essential Functions:
U.S. Citizenship required. Valid Drivers license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to balance scope, schedule and budget to ensure project success. The work environment requires the ability to cooperate and work with individuals at all levels of the company and the client.
