ANALYGENCE is seeking an Events Managerto join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security. This position will provide support to the S&T Conference Management Office and Federal Conference POC who serves as a single point of contact for all S&T divisions for conference policies and processes, planning, approval, and data capture and analysis. This is a customer-facing role which requires direct interaction with federal employees, industry partners, and stakeholders.Position may be supported remotely but you must reside within 50 miles of DC for onsite meetings/support as required.


  • Assist S&T with implementing the federal regulations of conferences at S&T.
  • Assist with implementing the Department conference approval process at S&T, including reviewing the process to identify areas for streamlining and efficiency into our application of the process.
  • Assist S&T divisions with obtaining all necessary conference approvals, as per the DHS Conference Approval Policy.
  • Conduct market research on conference venues, costs, A/Vcapabilities, etc.
  • Develop process, tools, and systems to capture estimated conference costs.
  • Analyze data monthly, quarterly, and annually to identify trends and optimize conference efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Identify and document possible cost reductions.
  • Liaise with Financial Analyst and Financial Officers to help answer funding questions, track the procurement request approval process, and identify conference funding execution figures.
  • Draft communications for distribution by S&T Conference Management Office POC on conference processes and procedures, approvals, policies, etc.
  • Convey DHS conference policies and procedures to S&T divisions and follow DHS guidance for all conference, workshops, and reviews.
  • Ability to successfully pass a government background investigation.
  • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience (Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e.,Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.) along withvideo conferencingand Teams.
  • Knowledge of conference management, applicable federal policies, and GSA regulations.
  • Experiencewith government conference policy and approval or planning government meetings.
  • Experience with conference registration and conference registration software such as Cvent.
  • Customer service experience providing solutions that fit individualized situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with knowledge and ability to utilize appropriate grammatical skills at a professional level.
