The Highlights: Reporting to the Director of First-Year Recruitment & Admission, the Assistant Director, Regional Representative- Western Region is responsible for executing targeted recruitment activities and strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate population from the Western region of the US. Living and working in the assigned region, this position manages a recruitment territory, counsels prospective students and their families, and assists in evaluating transcripts and recommending admission decisions. The Assistant Director also conducts reporting via SLATE and other tools, and contributes to the advancement of DePaul's regional undergraduate recruitment strategies and initiatives, with a special focus on relationship and brand-building with high schools' and community colleges' counselors, prospective students and their families. The position drives the development and project management of the regional recruitment strategy in the Western region. What You'll Do:
- Develops and executes targeted recruitment activities and strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate population of a predetermined size and mix, as defined by the university's enrollment goals and strategic plan. Develops and executes targeted outreach efforts to attract prospective students. Counsels and advises prospective students about undergraduate education opportunities at DePaul through telephone calls, regularly scheduled appointments, high-school and community colleges' on-site information sessions, open houses and admission events.
- Conducts and provides regular reporting via SLATE and other tools which informs the evolving development and execution of the regional undergraduate recruitment strategy and related recruitment initiatives and activities, including relationship and brand-building with high schools and as needed, community colleges. In concert with other members of the Regional team, drives the development of the regional recruitment strategy and project manage the tactics of the strategy. Develops and delivers special project work as the need and opportunity arises.
What You'll Need:
- A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in a related field (e.g., marketing, business, higher education, communication) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of college admission experience, especially in the specified region, is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct, progressive and successful experience with marketing and/or recruiting practices and recruitment software, especially SLATE, is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet the eligibility requirements per the University Vehicle, Driver and Travel Safety Policy
- Measurable project management experience and evidence of progressive responsibility is strongly desired.
- Position works out of a home office located in a metropolitan area within the Western Region of the US, and requires evening and weekend work, local and regional travel and use of personal or rental vehicle.
- Expected to attend trainings and events on the DePaul campus ~one to three times a year.
