In the role of Project Architect - Public Realm/Transportation, we'll count on you to:
- Capacity and required skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and perform research, visioning, conceptualization, layout and
- detailing on architectural and urban design projects
- Independently coordinate work of a multidisciplinary team through multiple phases of project development
- Establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various public agencies for code compliance
- and statutory reviews
- Coordinate workload of various team members through multiple project phases to prepare and complete project
- documents including conceptual sketches, diagrams, renderings, technical drawings and construction-ready packages
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with other design and engineering disciplines
- Perform QA/QC, technical and design reviews
- Write and edit technical specifications
- Achieve consensus with project stakeholders and Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents
- Perform design services during construction as needed
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Registered Architect in the State of California
- Experience and thought generation in the areas of civic architecture, public spaces, urban design, aviation, rail and multi modal transportation facilities
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED - Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max but not required.
- Rhino and Grasshopper experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
