Responsibilities

In the role of Highway/Roads Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects ranging from feasibility analysis to preliminary and final design
• Oversee the work of CAD Designers and EITs
• Lead detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects
• Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed
• Participate in professional organizations with an emphasis on the transportation industry
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
• Experience involving urban and rural highway/roadway design including but not limited to corridor, interchange, intersection, ADA, and bikeway design, and preparation of plans, cost estimates and specifications
• Preference given to local candidates
