Job Function: The Kid Zone Holiday Coordinator will be responsible for intake of children to the Kid Zone. They will provide an enjoyable experience for the children while their parents and /or guardian is shopping for the holiday. They will coordinate Volunteers Leads and volunteers in the daily function of the Kid Zone. Essential Responsibilities
Requirements
Education and Experience: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum 5 hours of training in literacy required. A minimum of 1year experience working, volunteering or interning with a Early Childhood Teacher. Skill Requirements: Requires understanding of poverty, a high degree of maturity, strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work and communicate with low socio-economic and diverse parents and clients in a professional and diplomatic manner. Ability to plan, organize and conduct early childhood education programs. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to use a computer and related software. Ability to work effectively with others within a multi-disciplinary team framework including staff and volunteers. Ability to supervise and direct volunteers. Demonstrates maturity and sensitivity to issues of faith, culture and other sources of diversity. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40pounds. Hearing and speaking ability, which allows for effective oral communication of information. Physical, emotional and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Other: Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
