Position Purpose |
The Facilities Asset Management Preventative Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the preventative maintenance program for all campus facilities and assets at Dartmouth College. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that academic, residential, and administrative buildings are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to a positive learning environment. The individual will work collaboratively with various departments, staff, and students to implement effective maintenance strategies and uphold the university's standards of excellence. |

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities |
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- 5-plus years of experience in facilities maintenance management, preferably within a university or educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance best practices, and applicable safety regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
- Proficiency in CMMS or IWMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or equivalent is desirable.
- Work experience within a university or educational environment.
- The ability to develop partnerships with customers, which are built on delivery, timely and effective communication, and trust.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Asset and Preventative and Maintenance
- Coordinate and otherwise work closely with key stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain an effective Asset and Preventative Maintenance program. Key stakeholder groups include but are not limited to: Facilities Operations, Engineering, Project Management Services, and Technology.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all campus assets and manage the lifecycle of facilities assets, including their acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
- Accurately inventory, update, assess and determine life cycle cost and replace costs of the College's assets including but not limited to roofs, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fixtures, paint, carpet, doors and door hardware, parking lots, roads, sidewalks, etc.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, asset performance, and compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with municipal, state, and federal regulations, as well as university policies and safety standards.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for university facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, residence halls, and administrative buildings.
- Create and maintain detailed schedules for routine inspections, servicing, and repairs, minimizing disruption to university operations.
- Develop a scheduled replacement plan for assets and extension of their life through a preventative maintenance program.
