  • Shift: Sat - Wed 7:00pm - 8:30pm or Sun-Thur 7:00pm - 8:30pm - Sat - Wed 2:00am - 3:30am or Sun-Thur 2:00am - 3:30am
  • Location: Fort Irwin Commissary - Drives from Victorville, Apple Valley area to Ft Irwin and back, transporting employees to and from the site.
  • Reports To:Project Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Driver to join our team and play a vital role in our employee transportation program. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our team members are transported home safely and efficiently, providing them with a reliable and comfortable travel experience. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and punctuality.



  • Safely pick up and transport employees to the site.
  • Drive employees to their residences or designated pickup/drop-off locations.
  • Strictly adhere to company policies, state, and federal laws.
  • Identify and report any mechanical or electrical faults.
  • Maintain a detailed travel log.
  • Be familiar with the surrounding roadways.
  • Observe and obey all traffic laws.
  • Possess the legal qualifications to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Obtain site access as required.
  • Stay focused and attentive while driving.
  • Navigate various weather conditions with confidence.
  • Effectively manage time.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Valid Driver License - Must be able to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2-3 Years driving a commercial vehicle, shuttle bus, or box car.
  • Ability to work directly with disabled individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Dependable with a strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
  • Ability to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.


Physical Demands:



  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Operating vehicle controls: steering, braking, and other maneuvers.
  • Repetitive movements: hand controls, and foot movements.
  • Maintaining alertness.


EnvironmentalDemands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary.
