Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $30-40 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift:4pm-12:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Technician II specializes in Electrical and Mechanical systems. Responsibilities include safely troubleshooting, repairing, installing, maintaining and improving production and facility equipment (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
  • Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
  • Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues found
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
  • Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
  • Other duties / responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must be able to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
  • Must be flexible with shift schedules and on call requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb
  • Ability to operate a fork truck, articulating lift, scissor lift and manipulate tools and/or controls
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, up to 110 degrees
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year technical school degree desired
  • Minimum 4 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Usage of maintenance PM system
  • Strong usage / knowledge of computer
