Job Description

Office Support Assistant IV

The College of Arts and Science is hiring a Project Specialist and Administrative Assistant to work as a member of the fundraising team. This position will work under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Director of Advancement and in close collaboration with the Dean, other advancement team members, and unit staff. This position will have the opportunity to:

  • Supports major gift fundraising work that benefits students, faculty, research, and programs in the college by assisting the team in research, outreach, reporting, and management of donor paperwork and records.
  • Contributes towards fundraising goals by managing annual fund projects for the college such as the fall and summer appeal campaigns and Mizzou Giving Day.
  • Stewards and engages alumni and donors by carrying out thank you note/reporting tasks, managing award nominations, and coordinating intimate donor gatherings.
  • Increases philanthropic impact by partnering with department and fiscal staff to understand and utilize gift accounts.
  • Builds partnerships and enhance fundraising activities by collaborating with other teams in A&S and the Mizzou Advancement community.
  • Grows the capacity of the fundraising team by completing and managing other development related tasks/projects as needed.

This position is located with the Advancement team in Middlebush Hall.

Shift

Hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Some flexibility and hybrid work may be available with supervisor approval. Occasionally nights and weekends and some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

* This person must be capable of flourishing in a fast-paced, collaborative and fluid work environment focused on performance and outcomes.

* Large university experience will be highly valued.

* Ability and willingness to learn new technology as this position requires the use of products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, CRM Advance, Power BI, Adobe, Canva, etc.

* Other important characteristics include a strong work ethic, personal integrity, emotional intelligence, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to the mission and values of the University of Missouri.

* Evidence of a commitment to professional growth with a passion for working in an environment with a team first culture for the benefit of students, faculty, research, and programs.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $14.51 to $19.92 an hour.

Grade: GGS-006
