Position Summary

Are you interested in being a part of a shared
services core-office organization that offers a lot of variety?

This position
will offer a multitude of professional development opportunities, including
in-depth training in each Financial Services Division core office area, as well
as allowing the incoming team member to help lead a new initiative. This
position will interact with departments across UNM Health and Health Sciences,
with a focus on providing financial services support related to pre-award,
post-award, contract and grant accounting, and unrestricted accounting. Will
complete pre-award duties to include working with individual departments on
completing/developing grant internal budget worksheets, working within the
CLICK system, and providing support on grant applications.

Contract and grant
accounting duties to include providing budget carry forward assistance, grant/fund
reconciliations, effort certifications, labor redistributions, and provide
grant closeout support. General accounting duties may include processing journal
vouchers, invoicing support, LoboMart purchases, index reconciliations, and
Chrome River reimbursements and invoicing, This position will also be
responsible for preparing financial reports from standard operating statistics
and/or financial data. May investigate and resolve problems related to funds,
budgets, expenditures, and/or procurement practices. Will provide assistance in
the development, implementation and maintenance of internal fiscal systems and
procedures, applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques. May serve as
unit/area transaction initiator or requisitioner.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
-Experience working with the UNM
accounting system or other large enterprise system.
-Experience with grant proposal review
and budget development/review.
-Experience working with
pre-award/grant administration software.
-Experience with restricted
funds accounting practices.
-Ability to apply internal policies
as well as state and federal rules and regulations.
-Ability to provide technical
advice and information to faculty and staff.
