While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the line and crew. Leads and coordinates the operation of the line and the crew. Able to run all production lines at expected performance at or exceeding production metrics. Promotes activities to enable plant goals and customer requirements to be met. Employee safety is the top priority in the performance of all job responsibilities and duties. Able to work all shifts, for weeks at a time. High level of Sonoco equipment troubleshooting experience; exceptional B&H knowledge a must. Engaged in SPS or experienced in leading Continuous Improvement team(s).

What you'll be doing:

  • Able to form a caulk can within plant specifications.
  • Able to maintain the operation of the line to meet budgeted scrap and efficiency. (Refer to Training)
  • Able to lead crew to meet plant goals.
  • Able to solve any issues on the line.
  • Responsible for the operation of the line and the crew.
  • Perform all required quality checks per shift.
  • Capable of entering data into computer and SQC Pack.
  • Capable of using Oracle.
  • Capable of recognizing and correcting any defect on the line.
  • Responsible for reporting production, scrap, and downtime for each shift.
  • Responsible for completing 6S Checklist daily and DTM checklist daily.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have 2 to 3 years manufacturing experience / machine operating experience.
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Have a high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Have flexibility to rotate shifts as required and the ability to work overtime as required manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
