If that's you, we invite you to join the College of Engineering's collaborative IT team where you can personally contribute to life-changing research by defining, implementing and managing the technical solutions required to meet the needs of the College server infrastructure consisting of physical and virtual Linux (primary) and Windows (secondary) servers located in multiple, on-campus data centers.

The Systems Engineer role performs system management and administrative activities that are complex in nature. The position ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of server systems that supports research, instruction and administration within the College.

The position supports a multi-node virtual environment (Proxmox) as well as physical servers providing network services - file servers, email, DNS, DHCP, software licenses, SFTP, Git repositories. The position manages the infrastructure and works with the College of Engineering Network Services department to implement all services.

Systems Engineer:
High school diploma and 11 years of experience OR
Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
Typical salaries are between $68,200 - $81,100

Sr. Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience
Typical salaries are between $75,867 - $91,833.00

Scope of Experience:
Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems, preferably in a university setting.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
