JOB SUMMARY

The Organizational Development & Training Analyst (Analyst) is responsible for developing surveys and assessments, gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on and dashboarding data related to organizational behavior and organizational structure across Cook County Health (CCH). The Analyst will collaborate with Leadership to develop strategies, initiatives, and programming to foster the desired work environment and employee development, manage the Learning Management System (LMS), spearhead communication planning and monitor and close out the Organizational and Workforce Development (O&WD) projects.

Typical Duties

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting



  • * Maintains O&WD metric dashboards
  • * Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommends improvements based on data analysis
  • * Prepares all O&WD visual monthly and quarterly reporting
  • * Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement. Generates reports and presentations on findings providing insights with data-driven recommendations to leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning
  • * Evaluates the effectiveness of CCH training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics for optimization
  • * Conducts needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across CCH
  • * Designs surveys and assessments
  • * Conducts surveys, focus groups, and interviews to gather qualitative and quantitative data when needed



CCH Talent Management Systems Management



  • * Oversees the administration of the LMS, training records, and training documentation
  • * Manages the architecture and governance of the LMS
  • * Provides back up support for all the O&WD staff
  • * Configures and manages the Performance Management System
  • * Provides training to Management and staff in the use of Performance Management and LMS
  • * Provides support to software updates, configuration, troubleshooting, debugging, and user access testing. Makes recommendations and serves as liaison with the Bureau of Technology and vendors for LMS updates
  • * Investigates and resolves any data or LMS inconsistencies or discrepancies


Communication and Collaboration



  • * Maintains the O&WD Intranet pages
  • * Produces and maintains training catalog, including identifying and communicating course offerings
  • * Builds the O&WD automation and program communications throughout CCH
  • * Conducts LMS and industry trends analysis and reports as needed
  • * Creates PowerPoint slide deck renderings
  • o Produces quality training materials, including the development and production of program presentation materials (i.e., PowerPoint, props, equipment)
  • * Creates linked Excel spreadsheets
  • * Works with Information Technology, HIS, and HRIS to troubleshoot system and/or application problems.
  • * Works with HR personnel regarding inventory, budgeting, procurement, and contracting needs
  • * Manages O&WD vendor relationships



O&WD Team Support



  • * Participates in and coordinates team and project meetings, prepares agendas and minutes, creates and maintains meeting documentation in electronic and/or paper files
  • * Constructs and maintains team project plans, including all initiatives and programs
  • o May directly supervise other support staff members as applicable
  • * Schedules interviews, initiates hiring, employment exit processes, and monitors progress on an ongoing basis. Tracks the vacancy status of positions assigned to O&WD
  • o Prepares and conducts onboarding, orientation, and routine training for CCH to ensure staff are trained to use systems/applications relevant to job functions and evaluate competency on an on-going basis
  • o Develops work schedules
  • o Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




    • * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (official transcripts required at time of interview)
    • * Three (3) years of high-level administrative experience supporting a department head or a senior leader or a client portfolio
    • * Two (2) years of experience in data capture, analytics, interpreting, and reporting
    • * One (1) year of experience managing projects
    • * Knowledge and experience with Talent Management Systems (Learning Management System and Performance Management)
    • * Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Forms, and Teams (testing may be required)



    Preferred Qualifications



    • * Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or related field with an emphasis in Training and Development and/or Organizational Development, Adult Education
    • * Master's degree in Data Analytics and Management, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or Communications with an emphasis in Training and Development and /or Organizational Development, or Adult Education
    • * Six (6) years of experience with Learning Management System (LMS)/Performance Management system management and eLearning software
    • * Experience with integration and data migration associated with performance management and learning management systems
    • * Experience implementing new talent management systems
    • * Experience with course authoring software
    • * Proficiency with Abode Acrobat Professional



    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics



    • * Knowledge and experience in organizational data analysis
    • * Knowledge and proficiency in reporting methods
    • * Knowledge of best practices in organizational development, learning and development, talent management, and performance management
    • * Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of staff and a patient population composed of diverse cultures and age groups
    • * Demonstrate analytical and organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and conflict management/resolution skills
    • * Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to completion
    • * Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs
