Speech Language Pathologist - Behavioral Health Pavilion
Overview The Speech Language Pathologist screens and/or evaluates speech, language, oral motor skills, swallowing, and cognition, scores and interprets tests, plans and provides therapeutic intervention, provides patient and family education, and communicates with outside agencies and referral sources. Provides age-appropriate care and services to patients from the age of birth to 21 years, and select adult patients. The following position is specific to Clinical Therapies Behavioral Health services at Nationwide Children's Hospital. This position includes the following programs as the primary service areas:
Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion Inpatient Psychiatric Units
This position is contingent upon the ability of the individual to pass and maintain competency in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Training and opportunities to maintain competency are regularly offered and funded by the organization. The is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, four 10-hour shifts. Qualifications Education:
Experience: Previous pediatric experience desirable.
