Your Job

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Sustainability Programs Manager for the Georgia-Pacific (GP) Consumer Products business. Your work will help position GP as a trusted and ethical partner for both internal and external customers. In this role, you will, help advance the GP Sustainability Vision, support the execution of our sustainability strategies, manage audits, requests, and reports related to corporate social responsibility (CSR), and support meeting legislative and third-party requirements.

Our Team

The Sustainability and Stewardship Team is dedicated to advancing GP's commitment to sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The team ensures environmental, social, and ethical standards are upheld, positioning GP as a preferred and responsible partner.

What You Will Do

Advancing Sustainability Vision and Strategy:

  • Promote and implement GP's sustainability vision.
  • Act ethically to position GP as a preferred partner.
  • Enhance sustainability plans and tools for internal customers.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Assurances and Disclosures:

  • Manage Social Audits and customer surveys.
  • Represent Stewardship standards in marketing.
  • Develop responses to customer sustainability inquiries.

Communications and Inquiries:

  • Provide evidence of GP's ethical practices.
  • Develop customer messages to increase value.
  • Address emerging issues and communicate GP's sustainability performance.

Legislative Reporting and Support:

  • Develop resources and relationships for compliance.
  • Communicate risks proactively.
  • Ensure timely legislative reporting.

Compliance with Third-Party Standards:

  • Manage relationships with third-party partners.
  • Ensure compliance with certifier criteria through coordination.

Stewardship Communication:

  • Empower teams as sustainability ambassadors.
  • Share knowledge to meet compliance standards.
  • Train teams on sustainability resources.

Invoice Management:

  • Oversee invoice processing for accurate financial records and policy compliance.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, environmental science, or a related field
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Understanding of sustainability principles, packaging legislative requirements, and third-party standards
