Job Description
OVERVIEW The Blue Buffalo Packaging Maintenance Supervisor provides safety and technical leadership to achieve breakthrough production results in the Dry Packaging area. This person is responsible for building technical capability in the Line Teams and Mechanics and working to eliminate losses and focus on root cause elimination. The Packaging Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses, and accountable to improve the reliability of the system through ownership in defect handling, breakdown elimination and planning and scheduling processes. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors. The Packaging Maintenance Supervisor uses continuous improvement tools, leadership skills, and are responsible for fostering a team environment. This role plays an integral role as a front-line leader in a manufacturing environment and will also have specific responsibilities as a champion for Manufacturing Excellence. - Build capability of the line team and technicians to understand their equipment at component level in addition to identifying and resolving defects and improving asset life.
- Analysis of equipment performance and improving component life.
- Own several daily management systems across the platform and accountable to coach/develop technician system owners who own these systems across the platform.
- Defect Handling: Facilitates documentation of standards with technicians and coach technicians through the identification, prioritization, and resolution of defects
- Breakdown Elimination: Identification of triggers and ensures Breakdown Elimination implementation of countermeasures.
- Planning and Scheduling: Plans, schedules and assigns work (Corrective Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance) including shutdown planning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- AS degree or 3-5 years maintenance leadership experience
- Proven strong leadership skills in visualizing end results and implementing strategies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years prior maintenance leadership in a manufacturing plant
- Demonstrated ability to enforce all FDA, EPA, OSHA, and GMI specific safety and regulatory laws, policies, or practices.
- Prior experience and knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems(CMMS) example: Maximo, Maintenance Connection etc.

The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $103200.00 / Annually.
