JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager, to oversee our Accounts Payable (A/P), Unclaimed Property, and Levy compliance functions across the enterprise. As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing the A/P close cycles, ensuring compliance with disbursement regulations, overseeing department staffing, monitoring key performance metrics, and leading project initiatives as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage multiple teams/functions across various geographic locations, providing operational oversight and strategy for disbursement functions such as accounts payable, levy compliance, and unclaimed property.
  • Ensure accurate records and compliance with federal and state regulations related to vendors, unclaimed property, and levies.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standards to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and respond to audit inquiries and regulatory examinations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing new procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure strong internal controls, including proper segregation of duties.
  • Oversee operational and financial transaction workflows, resolving issues proactively through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use data to drive operational decisions, managing resources effectively within budget constraints.
  • Inspire, direct, and develop work teams to promote a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) to resolve production issues, assess system enhancements, and oversee testing.
  • Ensure timely project completion and take corrective action when needed.
  • Manage and develop staff, including determining staffing needs, setting goals, conducting interviews, coaching, and evaluating performance.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to thrive and excel in a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with 2-3 in-office days per week at either the Camp Hill, PA or Oakland, CA location. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of these offices.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory or management role. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Multi-entity accounting experience preferred and is a plus!
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting structures.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with strong computational skills.
  • Proficiency in English grammar, including composition, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle Financials or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Critical thinking and effective conflict management skills.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and collaborate across functions.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. Pay Grade 20. $71,400 - $149,500
