Nurse Practitioner Advanced Lung Disease Transplant - Post Heart and Lung Full Time 81140BR Job Summary The UCSF team consists of highly experienced physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses, social workers, pharmacists and many others that provide quality care for patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $91.17- $124.10 (Hourly Rate). Required Qualifications Nurse Practitioner I Two (2) years of critical care nursing experience or 3 to 6 months as UCSF APP in pulmonary/transplant/MCS/critical care Flexibility to work at all UCSF Health locations and in varying schedules as outlined Nurse Practitioner II Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner with pulmonary and/or critical care experience Flexibility to work at all UCSF Health locations and in varying schedules as outlined Preferred Qualifications A minimum of four (4) years experience as Nurse Practitioner with pulmonary and/or critical care experience. A minimum of two (2) years experience as UCSF nurse or APP with pulmonary and/or critical care experience. License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer). Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. Current AHA BLS. Current AHA ACLS. State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1. UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
