Your role and responsibilities

The Vice President, Commercial Operations and Transformation plays a pivotal role within the ABB Installation Products leadership team for the US and LATAM regions. This strategic position is responsible for overseeing all Commercial Operations activities aimed at driving profitable orders and revenue growth. Key responsibilities include developing essential metrics to assess the region's market potential and implementing strategies to measure performance. The leader will spearhead contract execution with end customers, sales teams, and distribution partners, while also managing third-party processes. A significant focus will be on streamlining commercial processes to enhance efficiency and empower the sales team to respond swiftly and effectively to customer needs.
The preference is for this position to sit in the Memphis, TN office, but we are open to remote work for an exceptionally strong candidate. Expected travel is approximately 20%. #LI-Hybrid
Key responsibilities include developing essential metrics to assess the region's market potential and implementing strategies to measure performance. The leader will spearhead contract execution with end customers, sales teams, and distribution partners, while also managing third-party processes. A significant focus will be on streamlining commercial processes to enhance efficiency and empower the sales team to respond swiftly and effectively to customer needs. .Additional key accountabilities will include commercial operations and governance, commercial effectiveness, simplification, and transformation.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales operations or a related field, with a preference for candidates with electrical industry experience.
  • Leadership and a demonstrated ability to influence change are critical.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

The Division's products are engineered to provide ease of installation and perform in demanding and harsh conditions, helping to ensure safety and continuous operation for utilities, businesses and people around the world. The Commercial Essentials product segment includes electrical junction boxes, commercial fittings, strut and cable tray metal framing systems for commercial and residential construction. While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $179,300 and $298,700 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
