Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Supervisor in Boulder.

Salary Range: $95,000.00-$110,000.00

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offers the following benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; health savings account; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance; long-term disability insurance, Employee Assistance Program; PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and employee paid critical illness and accident insurance.


Responsibilities

Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.

Establishes and maintains all nursing personnel files.

Ensures all licensing and certification criteria are met.

Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.

Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinicsMaintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.

Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel.

Performs tasks assigned to staff nurses as necessary

Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.

Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectivesMonitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.

Directs the correct use of charge codes and coordinates education of all staff in correct procedures per reimbursement guidelines

Develops new services and activities for patients, families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives.

Staff DevelopmentImplement staff retention and training programs w/ support from clinic leads

Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.

Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.

Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications:

(Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): Education/Training - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification required.

Business Experience - Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience. One-year leadership experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge/Skills - Oncology certification preferred. Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card preferred

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
