Position Summary |
The Research Assistant will work with closely with the PI for the study to identify, contact and consent adults with cancer being seen at
UNC Health in Chapel Hill, who self-identify as Hispanic, for participation in the
UNC Hispanic Cancer Registry. Participation entails one-time-only completion of questionnaires, in paper or on-line, in English or Spanish. The Research Assistant will administer those questionnaires and ensure that participants receive a gift certificate for the participation. The Research Assistant must be fluent in Spanish and English. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Fluent in Spanish. Understanding of clinical trial research and research studies. Knowledge of
ICH
GCP, and
HIPAA compliance. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Previous experience in clinical research studies; screening and consenting patients, collecting, validating and entering data into medical records systems. |
