Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Department of Anesthesiology is offering a limited number of part-time positions for pediatric clinical faculty to work on a per diem basis. These non-salaried faculty positions are perfect for individuals with flexible schedules willing to work intermittently as the Department needs demand. These physicians will fill in for others allowing vacations, meetings, FMLA and other gaps in the schedule. Weekly and monthly hours are negotiable. UNC Hospitals are located on the main campus of UNC Chapel Hill and provide full service tertiary and quaternary care in a rich academic environment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent). Must have completed an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program (by the anticipated start date) and be ABA certified or eligible. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Preference for individuals who have experience working in an academic setting, teaching graduate level learners (interns, residents, fellows), working in a team which includes CRNAs and collaborating with other services.
