Your role on the team:



  • Serves as source of information and guidance to Accounts Payable Coordinators; Provides support to coordinators as needed, managing more complex and escalated inquiries; Assists with training of coordinators
  • Interacts directly with vendors and systems to troubleshoot invoice issues and seek direct resolution
  • Prepares and processes accounts payable checks and electronic payments
  • Researches questions regarding accounts payable from vendors, operations personnel and others
  • Documents accounts payable policies and procedures; Supports adherence to company policy, rules, and regulations
  • Electronically files and maintains paid accounts payable invoices
  • Reconciles vendor accounts and reporting for audit purposes
  • Responsible for travel and entertainment expense auditing in P2P software
  • Assists in creating and coordinating AP Coordinator KPIs reporting; Generates and audits Coordinator batch payment journals
  • Assists Accounts Payable Supervisor and/or Manager creating and testing processes with system changes; able to serve as project coordinator
  • Other duties as required and assigned



What you need:



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of accounts payable software, procure to pay software and/or logistics or TMS software
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Prior experience training others preferred


Bonus if you have:



  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
