About the Role
General Dynamics Land Systems Co-op Program is hiring for rotations starting in Winter of 2025. The engineering co-op will perform various responsibilities depending on the organization in which they are placed. The first co-op rotation will be in U.S. Operations Engineering supporting the Electronic and Lethality Hardware Design department in the Harness Design Engineering area.

Other primary functional areas for rotation can include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Vetronics/Software/Lethality Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Logistics Test and Evaluation Engineering
  • System Safety Engineering
  • Quality and Product Lifecycle Management

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Rotation:
  • Collaborate with design services to create 3D models of harness routings
  • Make component selections to generate procurable and buildable harness designs
  • Assist and respond to issues with procurement, hardware build, and trial fit
  • Detail preliminary schematics to create final harness designs.

Qualifications Sought
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited institution majoring in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must currently be a full-time student.
  • Student should be at Junior status or higher.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be a U.S. Person. (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
  • Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official university transcript before their first day of employment.

Additional Information / Desired Experience
  • Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required.
  • This role can either be a traditional Co-Op rotation with school or work part-time while attending school part-time.
