Accounting Clerk (201843)

Are you looking for an entry level Accounting position? Do you have a recent accounting degree and are looking to gain experience OR have accounting experience in your previous position?

Our client is located in the Appleton area and was founded over 65 years ago. They are looking to add an entry level Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices
• Verify entries and compare system reports to balances
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
• Pays vendors, monitor discount opportunities, verify federal ID numbers, schedule and prepare checks
• Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Ensure credits have been received for outstanding memos
• Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments
• Maintain account ledgers and verify vendor accounts
• Disburse petty cash by recording entries and verifying documentation
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices

General Information:

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm

Length: Temporary to hire, potentially direct hire

Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hour, based on experience
