Compensation:
Salary schedule based on Teacher's Contract, previous teaching experience and education.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will serve as the main liaison for the credit recovery program, coordinating with Alternative Programs Staff, students, families, school administration, and counselors at each site. The role supports staff and students and follows district-wide processes, policies, and procedures.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Communicate with school administration, counselors, special education team, alternative programs staff, students and families regarding credit recovery.
  2. Email updates to students and families about programmatic information
  3. Support credit recovery staff and students.
  4. Verify credits earned and attendance hours.
  5. Partner with alternative programs staff to ensure students are enrolled in accurate courses.
  6. Consistent reporting and tracking of learner attendance and progress.
  7. Troubleshoot technical issues with building tech, Edmentum support, and alternative programs staff.
  8. Ensure modifications and accommodations for special education students are followed.
  9. Follow districtwide procedures regarding student/staff emails, notifications, and follow all policies and procedures within the credit recovery program.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of data, student information, and program details.
  11. Schedule students to classes and rosters and teachers to rooms.
  12. Partner with the site Assistant Principal to respond to student behavior concerns.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

Required:
  1. Current Minnesota Teaching License.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
  3. Experience teaching High School students.
  4. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
  5. Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word and online curriculum.
  6. Access and familiarity with Infinite Campus.
  7. Strong communication skills and good rapport with administration, counselors, and other teaching staff.
  8. Organizational skills when determining and managing schedules (for students, CR teachers, counselors/admin)
  9. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
  10. Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.

Desired:
  1. Familiarity with Edmentum, Google Docs, Microsoft TEAMS, Schoology, and other online education tools.
  2. Experience leading and supporting teachers and other staff.
  3. Understanding of graduation requirements and transcripts.
