Position Title: Trimmer
Wage: $16.25/Hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, Overtime as Needed Looking for a career change with a smaller, reputable company? Trimmer Responsibilities: - Prepares material for bending by slitting and hemming the trim metal, and then annotating the dimensions on the back of the material - Places the metal into the machine according to the program and cycles through the bending steps - Threads metal sheets through rolls for forming - Load coils and operate crane as needed - Assesses quality of finished product with protractor and tape rule - Places finished trim components on table to be moved into the packaging area - May determine the sequence of bends, bending degrees, and correct dimensions from the trim drawings and/or sketches supplied by the customer - May program the trim product's dimensions into the machine controller - Assists wrapper in the proper packaging of trim products that minimizes (or eliminates) damage to the material - Keeps assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion that displays both a positive image of the company and allows the job to be performed in an efficient manner Requirements For Trimmer: - Able to stand throughout entire shift - Longevity in manufacturing work history - Experience with operating overhead cranes - Able to read, write and understand English QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
