Spring 2025 New Graduate RN Residency Program (to begin early March 2025) Deadline To Apply Is 12:00 PM Friday, November 8.
- Please apply only if you are a New Graduate RN with no prior RN/LPN work experience, or have less than 6 months-1 year of LPN/RN experience.

- BSN new graduates who graduated in May through December 2024 will be considered
- We will hire into specific divisions and exact unit assignments will be determined at a later date.
The program requirements are as follows:
- Only Applicants graduating with their Bachelor of Science in Nursing are being considered at this time.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- You must list your current GPA on your resume AND indicate your top two areas of preference in your cover letter.
- The areas to choose from are listed as follows:
- Emergency Department - Emergency Department RNs will provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patient ages and clinical conditions, with Resident RNs primarily working in the adult Emergency Department. The ability to be flexible, efficient, and organized are important attributes to succeed in the role.
- Critical Care - The coronary care and cardiac surgery intensive care unit RN provides management and care of critically ill patients with a variety of diagnoses. The ICU/IMC RN will provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of critically ill patients within Critical Care.
- Float Pool - Float Pool RN will provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patients on multiple Medical/Surgical units. The Float Pool RN ca be assigned to one unit at the start of each shift and assigned to another unit med shift. The ability to be flexible, efficient, and organized are important attributes to succeed in the role. The Float Pool RN acts as a patient advocate and uses a holistic approach to patient care delivery.
- Heart and Vascular - Cardiac Telemetry Units. The cardiac telemetry RN will provide direct nursing care to acutely ill cardiac medical and surgical patients. The cardiac telemetry RN will manage the care of post procedural patients, post surgical patients, patients requiring cardiac medication infusions, and a variety of cardiac medical patients.
- W3A Orthopedics (Med Surge Unit) - Totals joints, Fractures, Spines.
- W5 Surgical - Bariatric patients, Surgical Patients, Wound Care, Pre and post operative preparation.
- N5A Med Surg. Step Down - Step down Level of Care: Vents, Trachs, Post neurosurgery, stable neurology patients requiring closer monitoring. Post Tenecteplase, post thrombectomy.
- W6A Oncology - Oncology and Hematology including lymphoma, leukemia, solid tumors. Chemotherapy, ITP patients, Palliative care.
- N6A Neurology - Care of the neurology patients, post stroke, status epilepticus.
- N7A Geriatrics/ Pulmonary - Medical patients with geriatric NICHE care focus. Pulmonary- COPD, respiratory, pneumonia.
- Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) " The CDU is a specialized unit for Emergency Department patients who are not well enough to be sent home but do not currently meet the requirements to be admitted to the hospital. This unit is also referred to as an observation unit. The CDU RN will provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patients in this fast-paced environment. The ability to be flexible, efficient, and organized are important attributes to succeed in this role. The CDU RN acts as a patient advocate and uses a holistic approach to patient care delivery.
- PACU - PACU RN will provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patients in the post-anesthesia care setting. The PACU RN will be trained to take care of Phase 1 and Phase 2 patients ranging from pediatric to adults. The ability to be flexible, efficient, organized and display a true hunger for learning are important attributes to succeed in the role. The PACU RN acts as a patient advocate and uses a holistic approach to patient care delivery.
- Women's and Children Services - Residents can be hired into one of the following Women's and Children areas: (Please indicate which one specific area of Women's & Children's from below that you are interested in)
- Labor & Delivery
- NICU
- Adult Med Surg./ Pediatrics
- Postpartum
- All resident positions are for the NIGHT SHIFT ONLY!
- Current American Heart Association BLS for the healthcare provider certification is required upon entering the program and it must be valid for a minimum of 3 months post the start date of the program.
- You must successfully obtain a New Jersey Registered Nurse License (not just the license number) by at least two weeks before the residency start date to enter into the program. Please note that license reciprocity from another state can take approximately 3 months to receive; therefore, it is strongly recommended that you take the NCLEX in New Jersey if you plan on working in New Jersey.
- Related working clinical experience is a plus.
