Practice Supervisor FT Behavioral Health Program

POSITION SUMMARY:

To oversee the daily operations and supervision of staff within the applicable Practice (s) under the general guidance of the Dir, Physician Services.

EDUCATION:

Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or healthcare related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable at the discretion of senior management. Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience in a physician's practice preferred. Previous experience in a physician's management practice setting and demonstrated working knowledge of the operations of medical practice required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Membership and certification in a national physician practice management association is encouraged. Strong communication, interaction, customer service, and organization skills required Proven critical thinking, problem-resolution, decision-making skills Computer literacy in a Windows-based environment Working knowledge of standard office equipment including telephone (cellular phone), personal computer and software, fax machine, copier, VCR, overhead projector, LCD projector and PDA. Knowledge of word-processing and database management applications (Microsoft Office, Meditech, ACT!). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence, and customer service skills. Strong communication and presentation skills to present information to all customers and/or groups. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both verbal and written. Ability to create, maintain, and support a high functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective, and comprehensive medical care. Demonstrates behavior that is courteous, caring, respectful, and compassionate. Demonstrates ability to listen and respond in a non-judgmental manner, with clear expectations. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the Valley Physician Services' Leadership Standards and Values, as well as the Valley Physician Service's Mission and Vision Statements. Ability to represent the organization positively at all times. Ability to respect confidentiality of private healthcare, financial, and other company information at all times. Ability to honor commitments to the job and members of the team. Ability to speak constructively about co-workers and the organization. Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for job duties and organizational responsibilities. Ability to support company-wide efforts to improve and maintain a high level of patient/customer satisfaction as evidenced by (but not limited to) customer/patient satisfaction survey scores and other organizational and System's targets. Position may require rotating to other VMG locations from time to time when necessary.
