Description

  • Identify film process related issues which meet the following criteria:
  • Result from an issue inherent to a manufacturing process and requiring a technical solution to address this issue (for example: poor peel strengths are currently an issue inherent to our process, an operator failing to after-treat a roll is on the other hand not a process problem requiring a technical solution).
  • Correction of this issue will result in: Prevention of loss of current business (customer complaint); Clearing obstacles and allowing for new business growth.; Substantial cost savings to Kaneka (although it may not be a technical issue for Kaneka or our customers).
  • Upon identifying process issues will work with the team (which will likely include both the technical service team as well as plant operations personnel) to accomplish the following:
  • Identify root cause.
  • Propose and implement a corrective action.
  • Establish a reproduce-able documented process which will then be transferred fully to manufacturing responsibility.
