LinQuest Corporation is hiring highly skilled and motivated candidates to join the Warfighter Analysis and Assessments team that provide US Space Command (USSPACECOM) Design Thinking" Expertise Supporting operational design, design methodology, group facilitation, and Analytical Effects. An active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY.

In this role, you will support the USSPACECOM Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) to identify, develop, and test innovative ideas for USSPACECOM partly by applying cutting edge "Design Thinking" processes to cultivate divergent warfighting options. Additionally, you will help educate Command members on "Design Thinking" methodologies and disruptive innovation processes to foster idea development at all levels in USSPACECOM and evaluate concepts and strategies to maintain a digitally superior, competitive, and agile force.

A perfect candidate will have Combatant Command experience and "Design Thinking" experience. You will:



  • Coordinate, prepare educational materials for, facilitate, contribute to, and participate in "Design Thinking"-based events that evaluate concepts and strategies, and then report findings from these assessment activities.
  • Support coordination of all USSPACECOM-requested operational design effects with government and non-government organizations.
  • Develop and maintain an archive of design effects learned from "Design Thinking" activities and assessments and USSPACECOM emulation design activities. Trace the entire process from development through final testing and reports of conclusions.
  • Prepare reports and briefing materials to update USSPACECOM personnel and leadership on the substance of the design exercises and processes and associated development, testing, and conclusions.
  • Maintain industry-leading expertise on the latest "Design Thinking" and innovation theories and their implementation into practice.
  • Teach academic concepts and their practical application to a variety of USSPACECOM members.


Required Skills/Experience:



  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise on "Design Thinking" methodology that evaluates concepts and provides multiple solutions.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data.
  • Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to coordinate with others to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially when communicating technical information to audiences with varying backgrounds.
  • Experienced in academic instruction on concepts and their practical application.
  • Ability to brief and interact with senior-level officers (i.e., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians.
  • Understanding of military operations, or prior military experience in a position that required modeling and analysis on a Joint Staff or Service staff.
  • Ability to facilitate design processes and methodology to reach divergent solution sets to address complex environments.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in operations research, operational design, organizational development, or related field.
  • Facilitation of workshops, projects, and long-range efforts with participants ranging from action officers to GO/FO leaders.
  • TS/SCI is required for this position


Preferred Skills/Experience:



  • Previous M&S and staff experience on a CCMD, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc. staff highly desired.
  • Experience facilitating large, diverse groups with divergent interests and bringing them to common goals and vision.
  • Understanding of military space operations (Space Domain Awareness (SDA); Command & Control (C2); Satellite Communications (SATCOM); Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT); Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR); Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Missile Warning (MW); Offensive Space Control (OSC) and Defensive Space Control (DSC); and Missile Defense (MD); etc.
  • Publications: Journal articles, white papers, or similar documents.


Compensation: Starting salary ranges from approximately $145,000 to $175,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
