Position Summary |
The Business Officer plays a key role within the Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (
GEDC) and is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring financial integrity. This position combines strategic client management with financial oversight, playing a vital role in the growth and sustainability of
GEDC. The Business Officer is the primary liaison for external clients, ensuring the successful delivery of consulting services, educational boot camps, and other
GEDC initiatives. Additionally, the role involves developing and managing budgets, tracking expenses, and handling grant administration to support GEDC's research and educational efforts.The Business Officer also provides critical oversight for the implementation of key projects and grant deliverables, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Through a deep understanding of the geriatric emergency care landscape, the Business Officer ensures GEDC's resources are effectively utilized to achieve its mission. This role is responsible for driving both current operations and long-term strategic growth. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Mid-career with Masters and 1-2 yrs experience; or Bachelors and 2-4 yrs experience. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
3+ years of experience in healthcare consulting or a related field. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience reconciling budgets, managing grants, and ensuring financial compliance across all GEDC initiatives.
- Experience preparing and delivering reports and presentations, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
