Electronic Engineering Technician.
The Electronic Engineering Technician tests and modifies developmental or operational electronic machinery and electronic control equipment and circuitry to support the Twin Disc Engineering functions.
Education and/or Experience:
* Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
* Minimum of (2) two years' experience in electronics industry.
Essential Job Functions Include:
Generate production documentation detailing electronic/electrical and mechanical assembly requirements and specifications, including sub and final assembly instructions, drawings, bills of material, and inspection and test procedure.
Design and construct wire harnesses and various test fixtures that include a variety of input/output devices (e.g. switches, potentiometers, displays etc.), electrical test fixtures and circuit boards (e.g. frequency generator) and operate all standard electronic instrumentation such as digital/analog oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, frequency generators and waveform generators.
Setup and conduct/monitor mechanical, electrical, environmental and software tests and write associated reports outlining results.
Maintain the inventory of instrumentation, spare parts, literature and manuals, and related data. Maintain the calibration of instrumentation.
Create and or check layouts and detail drawings for control systems for Twin Disc products including originating the drawings and layouts of electronic controls, enclosures, harnesses and any type of control/control system or component.
Supervise and conduct in-house and field testing to develop systems and system parameters, conduct and record periodic electrical testing and recommend modification/replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Perform field installations and adjustments of control systems requiring travel as needed.
Write hardware and software specifications and test plans used to design products (hardware and software) and test plans used to test the products.
Research and select various sensors for use on Twin Disc products (e.g. pressure transducers/switches, speed sensors (variable reluctance/Hall effect), temperature sensors and proximity sensors/switches, etc.) and work with vendors to design custom sensors as required.
