Description Alcohol & Drug Counseling Intern Location: Litchfield, MN Pay: $15/hour for the duration of your internship Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers in Minnesota. We are looking for an intern at our New Beginnings Outpatient program in Litchfield. Opportunity for a student seeking 880-hour internship as part of an approved Alcohol and Drug Counseling program in an education institution preparing students to become Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors. The student will practice the 12 core functions of Alcohol and Drug Counseling in a hands-on experience at a high-intensity MICD residential treatment program. The student will initially work in tandem with a full-time LADC and eventually complete 12 core function activities including but not limited to: comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, aftercare planning, consultation with other professionals, group and individual therapy and psychoeducation. The individual in this role must demonstrate skills that benefit a therapeutic relationship including; good listening skills, compassionate, trustworthy, flexible and willing to learn. Completion of the internship is a requirement to become an LADC through BBHT. We owe our success to the passion, commitment and expertise of our staff.
