GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Department of Psychiatry ("Department") is a large department, with activity in all four components of the hospital's mission: clinical care; research; teaching and education; and improving the health of the communities we serve. The Department has invested in the development of a digital application called "Dr. Katz", which will assist clinicians in patient care through the production of educational videos and various other tools. Using this platform to create a competitive library of educational content and clinical tools for both patients and providers is a core aspect of the marketability of the Dr. Katz app, which is used across MGB to improve accessibility and quality of care, and will also be marketed to other healthcare systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Manager, Digital Applications and Content will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining content for the Dr. Katz app, as well as facilitating coordination and communication between the Dr. Katz team and the AMC Department of Psychiatry, under the direction of the chair of the department and the senior AD and in conjunction with staff in the Marketing, MGB Behavioral and Mental Health (BMH), and Digital departments of Mass General Brigham.

The Program Manager, Digital Applications and Content will:




  • Oversee implementation, adoption, and support of the Dr. Katz app by MGB users (providers and patients) that rely on Dr. Katz for psychoeducation, measurement-based care, and patient engagement

    • Develop and maintain partnerships with early adopters and clinical champions
    • Assign and monitor resources to colleagues to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
    • Coordinate the distribution and dissemination of new tools and resources across the Department, using various marketing and enablement strategies, such as fliers, in-person training and presentations, newsletters
    • Respond in timely manner to support issues, providing troubleshooting and technical assistance as needed. Collaborate with Dr. Katz team to issue bugs and prioritize fixes.


  • Deliver content library that meets the needs of MGB and is generalizable for peer systems

    • Develop and maintain content roadmap in collaboration with Departmental leadership and Dr. Katz team
    • Produce and edit engaging, high-quality video-based educational content through innovative storytelling interviews and filming in collaboration with Dr. Katz team and Departmental content advisors
    • Source and spotlight expert clinician educators within the Department
    • Collaborate with external content partners


  • Ensure the app is leveraged in order to improve access to high quality care in a sustainable manner

    • Meet with Maurizio Fava, Executive Director and Nathaniel Hundt regularly to discuss ways to improve the Dr. Katz app and its usage across the Department
    • Utilizing project management techniques and tracking mechanisms, develop project objectives, scope and tasks
    • Develop project plans and manage timeline to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner
    • Measure and report on key outcomes (e.g. Quality Incentive training program completion reporting; Collaborative Care engagement; Patient Intake and Access metrics by clinic)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Hybrid work preferred. Ability to leverage in-person studio for filming and store equipment (e.g. camera, lights, tripod, mics), as well as conduct in-person provider training and focus group / interviews.
