The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center (MRCT Center) of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard is a research and policy center focused on improving the design, conduct, and oversight of multi-regional clinical trials, with a particular focus on trials sited in or involving the developing world. We function as an independent convening group to bring together collaborative multidisciplinary teams to identify expert stakeholders from industry, academia, advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, and regulatory agencies to address critical issues in the conduct and oversight of clinical trials. Our efforts have resulted in improved clinical research practices, greater transparency, and improved safety for research participants. The MRCT Center resides within the Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE). The Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE) fosters the support and coordination of training, research, and service to reduce disease burden disparities and improve treatment outcomes at home and abroad. The DGHE is the academic and administrative home of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center. The Research Assistant (RA) will support the Principal Investigator (PI) and various research activities, including researching, writing, and analysis. Primary responsibilities will include conducting background research, literature reviews, coding data and analysis, and contributing to ongoing projects and various written materials. MRCT Center projects are related to the ethical, regulatory, and practical challenges of global clinical research. The RA position will support specific projects as agreed upon with MRCT Center leadership. - Competency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint; familiarity with SAS, R or other statistical software is desirable but not required Skills & Abilities - Strong research and writing experience - Strong written and oral communication skills - Data analysis capabilities, including quantitative and qualitative data - Strong organizational skills required with administrative, project coordination, and/or project management experience preferred. - Excellent time management - Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines - Willingness to learn new methods and tools relevant to their research - Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders strongly preferred - Ability to interact professionally with senior-level individuals from industry, government, academia, non-profit related to project work - Ability to interact with people from various cultural and language backgrounds EEO StatementBWH is an Affirmative Action Employer.
