We are partnering with a private equity backed multi-location organization based in the NE with aFinance Managersearch. This individual will report directly to the CEO and will have the opportunity to build out a strong finance & accounting function for the org. Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Review each location's P&L, identify trends, and provide feedback to Operations team
    • Participate in the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financials
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support business decisions
  • Modeling and Forecasting
    • Lead development and execution of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
    • Track P&L budget v. actuals - YTD, MTD, and trailing 12-month analysis
    • Build and maintain cash flow model
    • Build financial model for forecasting and analyzing sales
    • Build out model to identify revenue trends - actual, MTD, quarterly, and YTD
    • Model out proformas for franchisees considering expansion (i.e. evaluate rent, transportation, operating costs, etc. to figure out the breakeven for ROI)
    • Perform variance analysis on piece count trends - by category measured YTD (analyze change YoY)
  • KPI Development
    • Identify industry-standard and company specific measures to track to and build out corresponding KPI dashboards
  • Ad Hoc
    • Manage banking relationships (debt financing, cash management, etc.)
    • Manage 3rd party HR service, including onboarding, benefits, and 401K
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure bills are being paid correctly, cash is balanced accurately, how they are performing against budget, etc.
    • Manage the audit and tax processes


Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Strong accounting foundation with the ability to manage the audit and coordinate the tax process
  • Needs to be analytical and have experience running analyses on ROI, putting together forecasts, etc.
  • PE backed company experience preferred but not required
  • Multi-location experience nice to have but not required
