The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ranks among the best in the country. Our research programs are at the forefront of the technologies that have changed the world we live in. We're searching for a Teaching Assistant to join the team! This role will be responsible for teaching-related duties to assist faculty member with tasks such as proctoring exams, assigning material in class, and grading tests and homework.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping and other miscellaneous projects.
  • Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts & other materials. Prepare presentations for and/or deliver lectures.
  • Hand out assignments & grade papers.
  • Proctor examinations & record grades.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, reasoning, analytical and communication skills.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Additional Information:

  • In accordance with the pay transparency legislation set forth by California the corresponding salary range for this position, if placed in CA ranges between $17-$19 per hour.
