Join Sonepar as a Senior Benefits Specialist to oversee and administer our comprehensive benefits programs, providing exceptional customer service and education to our associates.

What you'll do:



  • Benefits Program Administration: Collaborate with vendor partnerships and internal stakeholders, administer benefits, implement new programs, manage escalations, appeal determinations, and identity process improvements.
  • Communication and Education: This position delivers benefit presentations for new hires, mergers and acquisitions, and open enrollment. Coordinate training and promote wellness programs.
  • Wellness Program Administration: In partnership with the vendor, plan health education initiatives and foster a culture of well-being and health education.
  • Back-up support to assist Benefits Analyst and Sr. Retirement Specialist as needed.



What you'll bring:



  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, and state/federal laws
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, wellness program administration, and leave of absence administration (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with HRIS/benefits administration systems (Ceridian preferred)



This is a Hybrid Role (Tuesday-Thursday in the Charleston office) with 10% travel.
