We have a contract opportunity for a Night Shift Maintenance Technician in Durham North Carolina. This position is approved for 1 year with a possibility of going temp to hire.
The client is a world class manufacturer of Diagnostic Medical Devices.

Starting Pay:$26.45/Hr.

Shift:

7:00PM-7:30AM, (A Shift) (2-2-3 rotation)

Summary:


Responsible for repair and maintenance of manufacturing process equipment. Preventive and Corrective maintenance by mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting of specialized and highly automated process equipment. Failure root cause analysis, continuous improvement of departmental systems and infrastructure.

Job Description:


  • Performs, documents, and improves procedures and Preventative Maintenance Activities.
  • Adherence to FDA Regulations, GMP, ISO, HSE (OSHA) and Department Procedures.
  • Ensures the most recent information related to maintenance and reliability is communicated and/or documented for compliance, history, and reliability.
  • Strive towards continuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance procedures in pursuit of failure prevention and increased efficiency.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots highly automated mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Performs corrective maintenance activities as necessary and in compliance with site documentation and change control requirements.
  • Ensures that the automated mechanical and electrical systems meets and exceeds the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals determined by World Class Manufacturing standards to support business demands.
  • Champion root cause analysis and continuous improvement to equipment/systems.



Education/Experience

  • Associates degree in electronics technology or related trade with 2 years experience in electrical / mechanical maintenance or 4 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in lieu of degree.
  • Read ladder logic, troubleshoot and repair PLC's, electrical systems, AC/DC drive systems, and mechanical systems desired. Machining, welding, and fabricating a plus.
  • Operation of high speed, highly automated, automated mechanical and electrical systems (preferably in a regulated environment within the last 6 years) desired.



Skills:

  • Performs documentation requirements in a cGMP compliant manner in accordance with applicable Quality Policies.
  • Responsible to follow Safety Policies/OSHA policies including requirements as related to personal protection equipment as needed to perform routine and non-routine duties.
  • Use of computers and Microsoft Office tools (Word & Excel).
  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. Ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like. Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. Operate heavy machinery. Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
