Your Job

Koch Minerals and Trading (KM&T) is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join the team! In this position, you will be responsible for various tasks including developing complex cash forecasts, effectively managing debt within established limits, reporting capital usage to key stakeholders, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, supporting the month-end financial close process, and contributing to our vision as a technology leveraged capability. This role will have close collaboration with Settlement, Financial Accounting, Compliance, Tax, and Credit departments. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Koch Global Treasury Team.

Our Team

The Treasury Analyst will report to the Treasury Director and be based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS.

What You Will Do

  • Build daily cash positions and forecasts and understanding the overall funding needs of the business
  • Communicate funding needs and cash usage to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiate funding wires/transactions while ensuring debt is managed within established limits
  • Report capital usage by trading business to various stakeholders and supporting the capital employed reporting process
  • Reconcile bank accounts to the general ledger and perform general cash accounting tasks
  • Manage month-end close responsibilities and deliverables
  • Ensure full compliance with financial controls and trading standards, actively working to strengthen the control environment
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, developing recommendations, and implementing solutions

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience with financial concepts, accounting processes, and financial reporting (professional or academic experience)
  • Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis, and formula creation (professional or academic experience)
  • Experience analyzing large sets of data (professional or academic experience)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience using Alteryx, Power BI, or other data analytic and visualization tools
  • Experience in treasury
  • Experience using a Treasury Management System (TMS)
  • Experience supporting the month-end accounting close process
