Applicants should hold a Ph.D., have a productive research track record, and possess strong writing and communication skills. Successful candidates will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely within Thomas Jefferson University at the Computational Medicine Center, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, and Vickie amp; Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, as well as with external institutions, including UPENN.

The Postdoctoral Researcher is expected to undertake research projects in the RNA biology field under the supervision of the PI. These projects aim to elucidate the expression, biogenesis, and function of short non-coding RNAs in various contexts, including asthma, acute lung injuries, and infectious diseases. The researcher will:

  • Work closely with the PI, laboratory members, and collaborators to design and conduct experiments.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent records of project progress.
  • Potentially develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
  • Formulate scientific hypotheses related to ongoing research in the laboratory.
  • Design experiments to test these hypotheses.
  • Perform the procedures for these experiments.
  • Analyze experimental data.
