This position will be based on site in Greenville, SC.

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineer Risk to join our Integrated Project Management Team (iPMT). The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks throughout the BFS (Bankable Feasibility Study) phase. This essential role ensures that potential issues are mitigated and that effective contingency plans are in place, supporting the overall success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks that could impact the project during the BFS phase. Conduct thorough risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks. Work closely with the project control team to ensure that risk management activities are integrated into the overall project plan.
    Contingency Planning: Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential issues that may arise during the project. Ensure that contingency plans are aligned with project objectives and can be effectively implemented if needed.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitor potential risks throughout the BFS phase, ensuring that any changes in risk status are promptly addressed. Provide regular updates and reports on risk management activities to senior management.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with various project teams, including engineering, procurement, and project control, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management. Facilitate risk management workshops and meetings to engage stakeholders in the risk management process.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all risk management activities, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, and contingency plans. Prepare and present risk management reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key risks and mitigation actions.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in risk management within the engineering or construction sector, preferably in the BFS phase.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess complex risks.
  • Proficient in risk management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications in risk management or project management.
  • Experience working in an Integrated Project Management Team (iPMT).
