**This is an in-person, on-site role based at the Port of Wilmington**

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The principal function of the Operations Support Coordinator is to assist the Operations Manager and support the entire Operations group. This position will ensure accurate, timely and efficient flow of information, material, and documents to various stakeholders to facilitate the movement of cargo through the tri-state area ports, cold storages, and warehouses.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities including but not limited to the following: organizing inbound and outbound truck movement, processing sales orders, and verifying accuracy of inbound cargo. Specific duties include:



  • Trace inbound shipments
  • Create inventory for inbound shipments
  • Review inventory files for accuracy and flag exceptions/anomalies to Operations Manager
  • Format Excel spreadsheets for import into inventory tracking system
  • Record and confirm daily inventories
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Maintain adequate office supplies for the Operations office


INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS



  • Internal: Managers, Office personnel, Expeditors, Sales office, Quality Control staff,
  • External: Government agency representatives, customer representatives, service providers, vendors, truck drivers, forklift operators. Communicate with ground buyers and truck dispatchers on truck and order status as needed.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in logistics and/or inventory management are a plus


WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
