The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary Columbia University Libraries is currently seeking applicants for the position of Bibliographic Assistant VI in the Preservation Division. Established in 1974 with responsibility for preserving Columbia University Libraries' collections in all formats and genres, the Preservation Division provides a comprehensive program to prolong the existence and accessibility of the collections for current and future students and scholars. The Division coordinates with other units in the Libraries to ensure the preservation of all Libraries' content. Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Preservation Reformatting and Metadata, the incumbent will perform a variety of tasks such as handling rare and valuable materials, as well as confidential financial records of patrons and faculty members. Tests: A Photoshop test and a metadata creation test will be given on the day of the final interview.
